According to the latest ISO 16890 standard, most filters with a class less than M5 are rough filters. Our filters have an increased filtration class to a minimum of M5 (according to the new ePM10 75% standard - intermediate filters). The larger filtration area additionally provides a larger dust capacity of the filter and extends its working time without causing high air resistance.

Nonwoven flat filters are only seemingly the cheapest filters. They usually offer a low filtration class, generate high air resistance and need to be replaced frequently. Only pleated filters (in so-called. harmonics) provide optimal protection and have several times longer service life compared to flat filters.

Why is air filtration so important?

Every day a person breathes about twenty kilograms of air. It is on its quality that the health and well-being of each of us largely depends. Particles smaller than 5 microns are not filtered through our body - the nose and trachea - getting deep into the lungs and can be dangerous to health. The main sources of dust are busy roads, industry, internal combustion engines, etc. Therefore, the role of filters in ventilation systems should not be underestimated, because it is at home that we spend most of our time every day.

Can pleated filters be cleaned?

Yes. It is worth wiping or vacuuming the filter from rough dirt and insects once in a while to extend its duration and reduce air flow resistance. However, it should be remembered that if the filter is already heavily soiled, it should be replaced immediately. Extending filter replacement cycles has a negative impact on the wear of fans in the recuperator and can lead to contamination of the control panel and heat exchanger and ventilation system.
