The Skyled converter is designed to power electrical and electronic devices requiring an alternating voltage of 230V from batteries and automotive installations with a solid voltage of 12V.

The device can also be used as an emergency power source in the event of a power grid failure or in various non-network applications such as camping or camping.

The task of the sine wave inverter is to change the direct current of 12 V to alternating current of 230 V in accordance with the one that is located in the household socket (Type E) throughout Europe,

By producing at the output of full sine wave alternating voltage, the inverter enables the power supply of devices equipped with electric motors and transformers, such as low-power tools, pumps and household appliances.

The Skyled converter works perfectly with resistive and inductive electronic and electrical devices, such as:

To ensure maximum efficiency and stability of operation, connect the inverter directly to the power source (battery) using cables with the appropriate cross-section

! Please note that as the cable is extended, its resistance increases! For longer sections, a correspondingly larger cross-section of wires should be used.

Choose the converter for the power of the device you want to connect. Please note that the power of each type of device may differ from the nominal one.

When buying a converter, you should take into account min. 30 % of the power reserve in relation to the total capacity of the intended receivers, e.g. if the receiver draws nominally 900 W of continuous power, it is recommended to choose a converter with 1500 W of continuous power. Such selection will ensure stable operation and better resistance to overheating.

Please note that such devices as: refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, etc. They draw much more power at the start than it is marked on the information plate (even 4 times). Therefore, a significant supply of power is needed.

Power selection - a practical example

Assumed load:

  • 20W lighting
  • laptop 100W
  • 6W smartphone charging
  • 800W coffee maker

Continuous operation time: 2 hours, with battery charged up to 12V or above, 90% efficiency

  • calculated maximum total load including capacity: 20+100+6+800*4 / 90% = ~3696W

The calculations show that you will need a converter with a power of 4000W, while the battery itself should be about 616Ah (3696W *2h/12V) to provide constant power to all assumed receivers for 2 hours.

It is also important which device will be connected to the inverter:

  • If you want to connect an inductive device (e.g. CO pump motor, refrigerator with aggregate), capacitive should choose the "sinusoidal" converter.
  • If you want to connect devices of a resistive nature (e.g. heater, bulbs) we can safely choose an ordinary converter from the so-called. "modified sine."
