This function allows the detector to distinguish between types of metals, and precisely to distinguish the types of ferrous metals from non-ferrous metals (gold, silver, copper, aluminum, zinc, lead, platinum). This allows you to filter small items such as caps, scales or shards.

The type of metal detected is indicated by one of three sounds. The type of sound corresponds to the type of metal displayed on the LCD screen.
