The GoGEN ME 9900 meteorological station is an extensive measuring set designed to monitor basic and advanced weather parameters in amateur and hobby applications. The device measures indoor and outdoor air temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, precipitation, UV index, solar radiation, as well as calculation values such as perceptible temperature and dew point.

The set consists of a console with a TFT color LCD display and an external 7-in-1 sensor, communicating wirelessly in the 868 MHz band at a distance of up to 150 m in open space. The model is also equipped with a Wi-Fi module that allows you to transfer data to Ecowitt Weather, Weather Underground and Weathercloud weather services, as well as to WSView Plus applications and home automation systems that work with the Ecowitt protocol.

Against the background of typical amateur stations, the ME 9900 model is distinguished by ultrasonic wind measurement and piezoelectric precipitation detection, thanks to which the external sensor does not require a classic flag or a traditional mechanical rain gauge. This solution reduces the number of moving parts and promotes more maintenance-free operation of the sensor during year-round outdoor operation.

Connectivity and remote access

The GoGEN ME 9900 model is equipped with a Wi-Fi module operating in the 802.11 b/g/n standard in the 2,4 GHz band, which allows you to publish measurement data in external weather services and their remote viewing from mobile devices. The station works with Ecowitt Weather, Weather Underground and Weathercloud platforms, as well as the WSView Plus app.

Data can also be used in smart home environments, including the Home Assistant system via the Ecowitt protocol. In practice, this allows you to build automation scenarios depending on current weather conditions, e.g. precipitation, wind, temperature or sunlight.

Possibility of expanding the system

The station works with optional additional temperature and humidity sensors GoGEN MESENZOR 39 / GOGMESENZOR39. The main unit supports up to 8 additional sensors of this type, which allows you to extend monitoring with additional rooms or measurement zones.
