The AH-64 Apache is an American assault helicopter with two turboshaft engines, a rear wheel chassis and a tandem cockpit for a two-man crew.
It has a sensor unit mounted on the nose to detect targets and night vision systems.
It is armed with a 30mm M230 Chaingun and is typically a mix of AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and unguided Hydra 70 missiles.
The AH-64D Apache Longbow is equipped with a glass cockpit and advanced sensors, the most notable of which are the AN/APG-78 Longbow millimeter wave fire control radar (FCR) and radar frequency interferometer (RFI). They are placed in the dome above the main rotor.
