Plastic model of motorcycle for assembly: Honda RS1000 racing motorcycle 1:12 Tamiya 14014

Plastic model kit for assembly showing the Honda RS1000 in the 1981 version, prepared for long-distance racing. The original motorcycle was Honda’s factory design based on the experience gained during the launches of the RCB1000. The drive was an air-cooled, four-stroke DOHC engine with four cylinders. The unit with a capacity of 999 cm³ developed over 130 hp.

The model reproduces the design of a racing motorcycle along with the characteristic fairing system, frame, engine, exhaust system and chassis components. The engine is marked with cooling ribs, ignition cables and wiring and connection of the installation. The kit also includes an exhaust manifold and an exhaust system with an extensive form.

The front fairing is made as an element of choice. The model can be built in a half-faucet configuration corresponding to the motorcycle taking off at Suzuka 8 Hours in 1981 or as a full-faucet version used during competitions in Europe. The headlamp can be made in a single- or two-lamp system, with the two-lamp variant requiring simple modification according to the instructions.

The wheels are equipped with solid rubber tires. The wheel and front fork mount uses screws for a durable connection between these components. The rear suspension received a metal screw spring. The set also includes a lift referring to the equipment used when operating racing motorcycles.

Large-format water decals from Cartograf are included in the model marking. The sheet contains two variants of starting numbers. The kit also includes a special leaflet with photographs of the actual motorcycle presented at Honda Collection Hall.

Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not contain paints or glue. To assemble, you need separately sold modeling tools (m.in. clippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes and glue for plastic models (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The picture shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
