Multifunctional meter of electrical installation parameters Sonel MPI-540 is designed for checking domestic and industrial­ electrical installations. With the help of the instrument, measurements can be made, the results of which determine the safety status of the installation. In addition, users­nik has the ability to record the parameters of electrical networks located on these facilities. This makes it possible to control the quality of electricity and measure parameters of shock protection using one uni­versal device.

The MPI-540 apparatus can perform all acceptance measurements of electrical installations in accordance with applicable regulations:

• Short-circuit loop impedance (also in circuits with RCD circuit breakers),
• parameters of RCD circuit breakers,
• insulation resistance,
• Ground resistance (4 measurement methods + ground resistivity measurement),
• continuity of protective and compensatory connections,
• intensity of lighting,
• phase order test,
• engine direction test.

The MPI-540 can record the electrical energy quality parameters 50/60 Hz in class S of EN 61000-4-30:

• voltages L1, L2, L3 – average values in the range up to 500 V,
• currents L1, L2, L3 – average values, current measurement in the range up to 3 kA (depending on the current clamps used),
• frequency in the range of 40 Hz – 70 Hz,
• active power (P), reactive power (Q), apparent power (S),
• power factor (PF), cosφ, tgφ,
• harmonic (up to 40th in voltage and current),
• THD harmonic distortion coefficient for current and voltage,
• recording of events for current and voltage,
