The steam juicer consists of several elements:

  • tank into which water is poured – fill the tank with water up to 1/3 of its height, under the influence of steaming water fruits (thrown into a special pot) begin to release juices, a pot into which juice is collected – equipped with a tube that drains juice into the substituted tank,
  • pot for fresh fruits and vegetables – a tank in which you put the ingredients of your choice and set on the other two pots. At its bottom there is a strainer that allows the juice to condense into a second pot with a hose. This pot is covered with a heat-resistant lid.

How to prepare fruit for juice in a juicer?

  1. Rinse the fruit in cold water and strain it on a colander.
  2. Remove peduncles, tails and uncover any crushed fragments. But when the fruit begins to mold, do not cut off only the rotten part, but throw away the whole fruit.
  3. Using a manual dryer, remove the seed nests from apples and pears. The dryer will also help you remove pits from plums. If you prepare cherry juice in a juicer, there is no need to dribble them – you simply throw the washed fruit into the pot.
  4. Cut larger fruits such as apples or pears into smaller pieces. Fine (strawberries, cherries, berries, blackberries, raspberries) toss whole.

How to make juice in a juicer?

  1. Set the juicer, or more precisely the water pot, on the stove.
  2. Fill the lowest batch of juicer with water (up to 1/3 pot height) and apply a juice collection pot and fruit tank to it.
  3. Pour the previously prepared fruit into the dish, which is located at the highest level.
  4. Sprinkle the fruit with sugar, the amount of sugar depends on the selected type of fruit.
  5. Apply the glass lid to the juicer and clamp the hose buckle.
  6. Turn on the stove and bring the water to a boil.
  7. After several minutes, the fruits will soften and begin to secrete juice – the time needed for fruits to separate the juice depends on their maturity and hardness.
  8. When the juice begins to flow into the lower pot, open the hose clamp and pour the drink into a larger container with a spout or immediately into clean, evaporated bottles or jars.
  9. Jars or bottles filled with homemade juice pasteurize in a special pot for cooking jars or roast in the oven. Pasteurize OK. 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of the jars.
  10. From the remaining fruits in the upper pot, you can prepare jam.
