Ecological thanks to natural refrigerant

In times of climate change, the protection of our environment and the associated reduction of greenhouse gases (GWP - global warming potential) and ozone destruction potential (ODP) are becoming increasingly important. The manufacturer of mobile local air conditioners also wants to contribute to environmental protection, using R290 as a natural refrigerant.

The abbreviation R290 stands for propane gas, a chemical compound of naturally occurring hydrogen and carbon elements. The use of R290 as a natural refrigerant in the use of mobile local air conditioners has the advantage, unlike the previously used hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants (here: HFC) in air conditioning and refrigeration, that its components are completely natural and ecological and therefore do not have the potential for ozone depletion still has a significant direct potential for global warming.

Advantages of R290:

R290 is one of the only hydrocarbon-based refrigerants in addition to R600a that can be safely used in household appliances because they meet the applicable safety requirements of IEC 60335-2-89.
