The new fixed focal length Nikkor Z 40/2.0 o focal length 40mm lens is a new lens for the Nikon Z system, which is perfect for filming and spontaneous shooting.

The optical system of the lens consists of 6 elements in 4 groups, including two aspherical lenses. A feature of the photos taken with this lens is to be a soft and natural bokeh effect and a significant reduction in spherical and chromatic aberrations.

The reduction of longitudinal chromatic aberration ensures high resolution images of objects with faithfully reproduced details at maximum relative aperture. Nanocrystalline coating reduces flare effects and glare.

The new multiple focusing system guarantees quiet and precise autofocus control, which operates on the basis of the AF stepper motor. The minimum shooting distance in the case of Nikkor Z 40mm f/2.0 is 0,29 m. Thanks to the large diameter of the bayonet mount Z (55 mm) the problem of vignetting disappears. Despite the short distance from the mounting plane to the sensor, the lens offers even image brightness throughout the frame.
