  The improved lens design is dust and splash resistant* , and the front lens element also features a water and grease-repellent coating. Thanks to the use of these solutions, you can devote yourself to your creative work in any, even demanding, weather conditions.

  Furthermore, the lens has a zoom lock switch that locks the lens at the wide end. It protects against accidental and unwanted extension of the tube under its own weight. An additional convenience is the fact that you can release the lock using the zoom (and not just using the switch).
