The LA-145 leather honing disc must always be used with PA-70 whetstone paste. The leather honing disc gently removes burrs created during sharpening and polishes the bevel for the sharpest results. It is also used for routine maintenance to quickly regain focus when there is no need to create a new bevel. The LA-145 leather grinding disc fits the Tormek T-4 sharpening machine.

Restores a sharp edge between sharpenings

The LA-145 leather honing disc should be used with PA-70 whetstone paste. Polishing the tool on the leather grinding wheel after sharpening ensures maximum edge sharpness. Honing greatly improves edge retention and provides excellent maintenance. You can quickly and easily align the edge on the leather smoothing disc between sharpenings. When the honing grinding wheel is new, it should be impregnated with machine oil before applying the honing paste to extend its service life and get the best performance.

High-quality vegetable tanned leather

The leather on the LA-145 leather honing disc comes from the respected Tärnsjö Garveri tannery in Sweden. It has been engaged in tanning and manufacturing leather goods for 150 years and is now one of the few tanneries that tanning leather using only natural plant products. The leather on the Tormek skin smoothing grinding wheels is both environmentally friendly and of the highest quality.
