The IZZI SF 200 box in the version with a heater is a hybrid combining the advantages of a filter box with a set of anti-smog or anti-pollen filters that clean the air supplied to the house from pollutants hazardous to health, and a pre-heater with a modern, smoothly controlled PTC heater that supports the operation of the anti-freeze system in iZZi recuperators. Designed for use in home installations.

The boxes are made of 100% stainless steel , and the foam thermal insulation additionally acoustically dampens the entire ventilation system.

Is an additional preheater needed?

Installation on the intake channel of an additional IZZI SF 200 box with a preheater enables comfortable operation of the recuperator without the need to switch on the vacuum system in a situation where there are large frosts reaching -15°C outside. Thanks to this, throughout the year we can use the full functionality of the device and enjoy maximum heat recovery.

Advantages of preheater installation

• Freezing protection: The preheater helps maintain the right temperature in the heat exchanger in the recuperator, which prevents it from freezing, even when the outside temperature is very low. .
• Energy saving: by preventing freezing and increasing the efficiency of heat recovery, the preheater saves energy.
• Brak: switching on the heater replaces the operation of the vacuum antifreeze system causing cold air to be drawn in leaks in the building.
• System reliability: the preheater protects the recuperator in adverse conditions of low temperature and high humidity, which increases its durability and reliability.
• Improvement of air quality: The preheater prevents the filters from freezing and increases their efficiency, which allows for more effective purification of the supplied air.

It is very important to take into account the additional air resistance generated by the filter box and the filters installed in it. If the recuperator does not have automatic regulation of air flow, then manually carry out adjustment of the air supply relative to the extractor in the ventilation system.

NOTE! The installation of the filter box in installations equipped with devices with pressure sensors and not factory-fitted for the installation of additional filters may cause the display of messages with exceeded resistance values. In this case, the ventilation efficiency should be reduced.

IZZI SF 200 filter boxes with preheater are dedicated to recuperation systems, i.e. mechanical ventilation with heat recovery with reQnet recuperator from the IZZI series installed. The box is mounted on the intake channel in front of the recuperator.

NOTE! The built-in preheater is designed only to heat the air entering the recuperator in order to protect the antifreeze heat exchanger. The heater is not intended to increase the temperature of the supply air to the building!
