Air curtain FLOWAIR SLIM W-100 water black is a modern device designed to protect entrances against uncontrolled air exchange between the interior of the building and the environment. The concentrated stream produced by the fan creates an invisible barrier in the plane of the door opening. It reduces the influx of cool air during the heating season, and in the summer it makes it difficult for hot air to enter the air-conditioned room.

The FLOWAIR SLIM W-100 model is equipped with a water heat exchanger, thanks to which the supplied air can be heated using a factor supplied from the central heating system. The device combines the function of an effective entrance curtain with the possibility of improving thermal comfort in the zone located directly at the door. Warm air supply reduces the feeling of drafts and cold by customers, employees and other users of the facility.

The length of the curtain is 1000 mm, so the model is designed primarily for securing standard entrances with a width of about one meter. The black housing in RAL 9005 gives the device a sleek and expressive look. The curtain goes well with dark door joinery, aluminum profiles, glazing and interiors decorated in a modern, industrial or minimalist style.

Effective protection of the entrance area

Frequent opening of the door causes intensive air exchange between the room and the external environment. In winter, this leads to cooling of the entrance zone and increased load on the heating system. In summer, warm air can flow into the air-conditioned interior, making it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. FLOWAIR SLIM W-100 reduces the scale of this phenomenon by creating a properly targeted air supply.

The efficiency of the device ranges from 770 to 1100 m³/h. The fan speed adjustment allows you to adjust the intensity of the barrier to the height of installation, the frequency of opening the door and current weather conditions. The lower gear can be used during periods of less movement, while the maximum efficiency will work well with frequent opening of the entrance or a greater temperature difference.

The maximum range of the air stream is 3,5 m. Thanks to this, the curtain can be mounted both above typical doors and at higher entrance openings. Correctly selected airflow intensity allows you to create a barrier covering the entire height of the passage and limit the direct inflow of external air.

Water heat exchanger

FLOWAIR SLIM W-100 uses a water heat exchanger that can cooperate with a central heating system, heating boiler, heat pump or other source providing a factor with appropriate parameters. The heating power range of the device is from 1,2 to 12,1 kW and depends on the water temperature, the air temperature at the inlet and the selected fan gear.

The wide power range allows the curtain to be used both in modern low-temperature installations and in traditional central water heating systems. The maximum permissible temperature of the heating medium is 110°C, while the maximum working pressure is 1,6 MPa. Connection to the installation is made using connectors with a 1/2 inch thread.

The temperature increase of the supplied air can range from 5 to 32,5°C. The final value depends on the installation parameters and the set fan speed. A warm stream flowed towards the entrance improves the comfort of people passing through the door and helps to reduce the feeling of cold in their immediate vicinity.

Low electricity consumption

In the water version, the energy needed to heat the air comes from the heating system of the building. Electrical power supply is used primarily to drive the fan and operate the built-in automation system. An important element of the FLOWAIR SLIM W-100 is the built-in motion sensor. The curtain can start automatically when motion is detected in the entrance area. Thanks to this, the air supply starts working when a customer, employee or other user of the building approaches the door. Automatic operation reduces the need for manual operation and avoids unnecessary work during longer breaks in the use of the entrance.

The device can also work with TS automation, T-box controller, BMS building management system and intelligent FLOWAIR SYSTEM. Expansion of control allows you to combine the work of the curtain with other heating, ventilation and cooling devices and manage them from one place.

Adjustable performance and acoustic comfort

Gradual adjustment of the fan operation allows you to adjust the intensity of the air supply to the nature of the object. With less traffic, a calmer mode can be used, while a higher gear allows for a stronger air barrier when opening doors frequently or in adverse weather conditions.

The sound pressure level measured at a distance of 5 meters is from 45 to 55 dB(A), and at a distance of 3 meters from 46 to 56 dB(A). The sound power level ranges from 61 to 70,5 dB(A). The ability to change gears allows you to maintain the right balance between the effectiveness of the barrier and the comfort of people staying near the entrance.
