Air curtain FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 water black is a modern device designed to protect entrances against uncontrolled air exchange between the interior of the building and its surroundings. An intense, properly directed stream creates an invisible barrier in the plane of the door opening. It reduces the influx of cold air during the heating season, and in summer it makes it difficult for hot air to enter the air-conditioned room.

The FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 model is equipped with a water heat exchanger, which allows heating of the supplied air using a central heating system. The curtain can cooperate, among others, with a boiler, an urban district heating network or a properly selected system with a heat pump. The combination of an air barrier with a warm air supply improves the comfort of people using the entrance and reduces the unpleasant feeling of coolness in its immediate vicinity.

The device has a length of 1500 mm, so it is suitable for securing wide entrances, double-leaf, sliding and automatic doors. The black housing in RAL 9005 gives the curtain a sleek and modern look. FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 goes well with dark door joinery, aluminum profiles, large glazing and interiors maintained in industrial, minimalist or loft style.

Effective air barrier at the entrance

During each opening of the door, air flow occurs due to the difference in temperature and pressure. In the winter season, cool air flows into the building, causing the entrance zone to cool down and increasing the load on the main heating system. The FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 curtain limits the scale of this phenomenon, creating a stable stream covering the entire width of the correctly selected hole.

The device provides a capacity from 1100 to 1940 m³/h. Three available fan speeds allow you to adjust the airflow intensity to the mounting height, door opening frequency and outdoor conditions. At the highest gear, the capacity is 1940 m³/h, at an average of 1370 m³/h, and at the lowest 1100 m³/h.

The maximum range of the air stream is 3,5 m. In the second gear, the range reaches 2,8 m, while in the first 2,1 m. The selection of the right speed allows you to maintain a balance between barrier effectiveness, energy consumption and acoustic comfort of users.

Water heat exchanger up to 21 kW

FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 uses a water heat exchanger with a heating power range of 2,6 to 21 kW. The actual power of the device depends on the temperature of the medium, the air parameters at the inlet and the selected fan gear. A wide range of work allows you to adjust the curtain to installations with different temperature parameters.

The temperature increase of the supplied air can range from 4 to 32°C. The heated stream improves the comfort of people passing through the entrance, while limiting the formation of a cool zone directly at the door. The solution is particularly useful in facilities where workstations, reception desks, cash registers or waiting places are close to the entrance.

The maximum temperature of the heating medium is 110°C and the maximum working pressure of the installation is 1,6 MPa. The hydraulic connection is made using connectors with an internal thread 1/2 in. The water exchanger may be supplied with water or a properly prepared glycol solution if the operating conditions of the installation so require.

Low electricity consumption

In the water version, the energy needed to heat the air comes from the heating system of the building. Electricity is mainly used to power the fan and the built-in control system. FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 requires a single-phase power supply of 230 V / 50 Hz and does not need a strong three-phase connection characteristic of electric curtains.

The rated power consumption is 165 W on the third gear, 110 W on the second and 90 W on the first. The current consumption is at the level of 0,7 A, 0,5 A and 0,4 A respectively. This allows the curtain to be used as an efficient entry protection with relatively low electricity demand.

The water variant is a good choice for buildings where the installation of central heating has been brought near the door. The device can use the available heat source, while providing intensive airflow over the entire width of the entrance.

Built-in motion sensor and Plug&Play control

The FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 air curtain has a factory built-in automation system. Buttons located on the side of the housing allow you to turn on the air supply, select the fan speed and control the opening signal of the optional water system valve. Basic operation does not require the use of an external controller.

The built-in motion sensor automatically activates the curtain when a person is detected in the entrance area. The device works according to the settings selected on the switches, and when motion detection is complete, it remains active for the set time. The factory shutdown delay is 10 seconds and can be adjusted from 10 to 420 seconds.

The range of the sensor in the range from 2 to 6 m and its operation depending on the intensity of light are also adjustable. This allows you to adjust the automation to the entrance system and limit accidental actuation of the curtain by movement taking place outside the proper door zone.

Possibility to expand control

FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 can work with optional TS controller equipped with thermostat and three-stage speed control. The extended installation can also use the T-box or T-box Zone touch controller along with the DRV Slim chip.

The use of additional automation allows more accurate management of temperature, fan operation and opening of the water valve. The curtain can be incorporated into the BMS building management system or the intelligent FLOWAIR SYSTEM, where several heating and ventilation devices are operated from one place.

The built-in switch allows you to choose the first or third fan gear as standard. The second gear can be configured when the qualified installer connects. This allows you to adjust the available settings to the specifics of a specific object.

Acoustic comfort on every run

The sound pressure level at a distance of 5 m is 44 dB(A) on the first gear, 48 dB(A) on the second and 56 dB(A) on the third. When measured from a distance of 3 m, the values are 45, 49 and 57 dB(A), respectively.

The ability to adjust the performance allows you to reduce the noise level during periods of less traffic. The maximum gear can be used during intensive use of the door or with a greater temperature difference, while the lowest speed will work in quieter working hours.

FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 can thus work in representative entrance zones of shops, hotels, offices and restaurants. Properly selected setting provides an effective barrier without unnecessarily increasing the intensity of the air supply.

Optional Coarse 30% filter

The curtain can cooperate with the external Coarse 30% filter module, mounted on the upper surface of the device. The filter limits the entry of larger impurities into the housing, supports the protection of the water exchanger and makes it easier to keep the curtain clean.

After applying the filter, the capacity is 1300 m³/h on the third gear, 1100 m³/h on the second and 1000 m³/h on the first. The filter module is particularly useful in premises located on busy streets, parking lots, delivery yards or other places with increased dust levels.

The air barrier stream itself can further limit the entry of dust, exhaust fumes, smog, insects and small debris through the door. The curtain does not replace the ventilation system or air purifier, but helps to protect the entrance zone from direct environmental influences.

Black housing RAL 9005

The FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 housing is made of powder coated steel in black RAL 9005. The dark finish allows you to aesthetically match the device to black door frames, technical ceilings, aluminum profiles and modern equipment.

The total length of the curtain is 1500 mm, while the length of the body marked as dimension A is 1446 mm. The height of the device is 189 mm and the depth is 399 mm. The slim form also allows installation in spaces where the distance between the upper edge of the door and the ceiling is limited.

Horizontal or vertical mounting

The FLOWAIR SLIM W-150 can be mounted horizontally above the door or vertically at the side edge of the entrance. When horizontal installation, the curtain should cover the entire width of the opening, while in the vertical position the stream should cover its full height.

Horizontal installation can be done with two dedicated brackets or four M8 threaded pins. Vertical installation requires the use of two brackets. The ability to choose the orientation of the device facilitates its installation at glazing, low ceilings, advertising elements and unusual entrance installation.

The curtain is designed to work indoors, at temperatures above 0°C. The IP20 rating means that the device should be installed in a dry place, without direct exposure to precipitation, flooding or water jets.
