NanoProtect HEPA filter

Captures particles 100x smaller than a standard HEPA filter

The NanoProtect HEPA filter in Philips purifiers can retain up to 99,97%* of particles with a size of 0,003 μm, while the standard HEPA filter - particles measuring up to 0,3 μm.

Why is it so important?

The most dangerous for health are small particles that easily penetrate the respiratory tract. Their size is approximately:

• for viruses from 0,020 μm to 1 μm (micrometer)
• smallest smog particles - less than 0,1 μm (micrometer)

How the 3-stage filtration process works

• The first, pre-filter layer traps larger particles such as dust and pet dander.
• The second layer of NanoProtect HEPA filters PM2,5 particles (smog), allergens, plant pollen, mite allergens, pet dander, mold and fungal spores, bacteria and viruses including particles up to 0,003 μm* in size.
• The third layer of activated carbon filter neutralizes unpleasant odors and harmful gases, including volatile organic compounds.

In automatic mode, the purifier independently selects the appropriate fan speed according to the air quality prevailing in the room. Thanks to this, you do not have to control the operation of the device.
