Janome 990 D is a 3 or 4 thread overlock that will satisfy even the most demanding seamstress, because in a minute it is inserted 1300 times into the sewn material and additionally thanks to the adjustment of varied transport you can sew knitwear, silk, elastic materials and even woolen blankets, without any problems. Overlock 990D is an extremely fast, but at the same time durable and efficient machine.

In the overlock Janome 990D you have the following stitches at your disposal:

✅ 4-thread overlock - this is the strongest stitch in this overlock - perfect for joining and simultaneously throwing edges of sewn materials, e.g.: leggings, knitted skirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts and clothes made of loosely woven materials. It will also be a suitable stitch for throwing the edges of the seams of any material, in particular strongly fraying.

✅ 3-thread overlock (narrow and wide) - perfect for protecting the edges from fraying. Suitable for softer materials where there is no need for additional reinforcement.

✅ 3-thread rolling ala picotka - ideal for aesthetic finishing of edges of thin and medium materials and casting edges of very thin materials, e.g. chiffon and other heavily fraying/fraying materials.

✅ 3-thread rolling (mereżka) - perfect for finishing the edges of thin materials in summer skirts, dresses, blouses for women and children.

Importantly, switching the machine into sewing mode is done instantly, thanks to the movable stitch tongue built into the stitch plate, without the need to change the plate or foot.
