The BOOST button in the EC5 smart terminals is an emergency function that allows you to start the vehicle even in the case of a deeply discharged or completely "dead" battery.

Under standard conditions, jump starter electronics protect the user and the vehicle – it does not allow current to be given if the battery voltage is too low (e.g. below ~2–3V). That’s when BOOST mode comes in handy.

After connecting the terminals to the battery and activating the BOOST button:
