The BOOST button in the EC5 smart terminals is an emergency function that allows you to start the vehicle even in the case of a deeply discharged or completely "dead" battery.

Under standard conditions, jump starter electronics protect the user and the vehicle – it does not allow current to be given if the battery voltage is too low (e.g. below ~2–3V). This is where the BOOST mode comes in handy.

👉 How does it work?

After connecting the terminals to the battery and activating the BOOST button:

• ✔ the device temporarily bypasses low voltage protection,
• ✔ forces the inrush current without voltage detection,
• ✔ allows you to start the engine in emergency situations.

⚠ When to use BOOST mode?

• ✔ when the battery is completely discharged,
• ✔ when standard mode does not respond (no battery detection),
• ✔ in emergency situations – e.g. After a long car stop.

❗ Important: BOOST mode should only be used temporarily and according to the instructions – this is a rescue function, not a daily use mode.

💡 Thanks to this feature, the jump starter becomes a real support in critical situations – when ordinary devices are already failing.
