PEUGEOT grinders have been used in kitchens around the world for nearly 200 years, becoming an icon of French cuisine. Most of the production cycle takes place at the PEUGEOT factory in Quingey located in the Doubs department in Burgundy. They reflect the unique heritage of PEUGEOT as a mill manufacturer. The contemporary reinterpretation of the classic shape of the PARIS grinder clearly refers to the original design that is a symbol of this brand.

Peugeot grinders use proprietary grinding mechanisms dedicated to different types of spices. Salt grinders can be used to grind coarse, sea and stone salt with granulation up to 4 mm. Pepper grinders are equipped with a special mechanism with a spiral shape of heaters, guaranteeing optimal introduction of grains and their grinding.

The setting of grinding thickness in PEUGEOT grinders can be done either by traditional smooth adjustment by tightening the knob at the top of the body, or in the case of grinders with the u'Select mechanism, by selecting one of 6 degrees of grinding thickness (1 for the smallest, 6 for the thickest).

The responsible pro-ecological policy of Peugeot means that the wood used for the production of mills is PEFC certified, and mostly comes from the local forests of the Franche-Comte region. Only solvent-free paints and varnishes, friendly to health and the environment, are used for painting the bodies. Peugeot mills are products produced with respect for the environment.

The marking for which the grinder is dedicated is located on each screw cap located at the base of the grinder. Letter – P stands for PEPPER grinders, S stands for SALT grinders.
