It is a small and light device, designed for adults and children from 4 years of age (finger thickness minimum 1 cm). The pulse oximeter when applied to the finger in a non-invasive way within a few seconds shows the blood saturation result, heart rate and perfusion index value.
Blood oxygen saturation (saturation) is marked with the symbol SpO2 and expressed as a percentage. The correct saturation value in healthy people is 93-99%.
Heart rate (heart rate) is indicated by the symbol PRbpm and expressed in the number of beats per minute. The correct heart rate range is within 60-90 beats/minute.
The percentage perfusion index is used to assess peripheral blood flow.
