How does a finger pulse oximeter work?

• The device uses measurement of radiation absorption by tissues of two different wavelengths by pulse oximetry. Blood oxygen saturation (saturation) is marked with the symbol SpO2 and expressed as a percentage. The normal saturation value in healthy people is 93-99%.
• The pulse oximeter has a clear TFT display with different brightness levels, plethysmographic wave presentation and is characterized by solidity of execution. It is very easy to use. The clear, large color display used here contributes to comfortable work. It all does that. that it is very easy to use.
• This means that red blood cells are measured in the capillaries of radiation from the transmitter. Based on the measurement, using sensors and algorithms, the pulse oximeter calculates the percentage concentration of oxygen saturation of hemoglobin.
• The test result is expressed as a percentage. It represents the amount of hemoglobin saturated with oxygen. For example, the SpO2 97% result means that 97% of hemoglobin carries oxygen to the tissues of the subject at the time of the test.
• The pulse oximeter works by measuring the absorption of radiation by red blood cells in the capillaries of two different wavelengths: red and infrared. The measured signal consists of two components: constant and variable (pulsing). This component describes the absorbance of pulsating arterial blood. The measurement is non-invasive (it is done through the skin) and painless.

Ability to measure heart rate
