Viltrox AF 15mm F1.7 Air is a modern, compact wide-angle lens designed for creators who value mobility, bright optics and convenient operation. Thanks to its 22,5 mm focal length (calculated as a full frame) and 84,9° viewing angle, it is perfect for street, landscape and architectural photography, as well as for video recordings requiring a wide frame.

The large aperture of the F1.7 ensures effective operation in low light, allows for low depth of field and pleasant background blur. The lens is ideal for photographing interiors, urban night scenes or portraits with the effect of separation of plans.

The built-in STM stepper motor provides fast, quiet and precise autofocus, compatible with eye and face detection. This solution is particularly useful for filming, family photography and working with dynamic shots.

The optical design consists of 12 elements arranged in 9 groups. Among them are 3 ED lenses that minimize chromatic aberrations, 3 elements with a high refractive index that improve sharpness on the entire surface of the frame and 2 aspherical lenses that reduce distortion. The coatings used reduce the effects of flares and sprites, improving the contrast and clarity of the image in difficult lighting conditions.

The lens belongs to the Air series and has a consistent design and compact format – it weighs only 180 g and fits in the hand. The housing is equipped with a metal bayonet, a front lens with a hydrophobic coating and protection against dirt, as well as a thread for filters with a diameter of 58 mm. Communication with the camera body takes place fully electronically, with EXIF data transmission and the possibility of updating the firmware via the built-in USB-C port.
