Historical background

The de Havilland Mosquito was one of the most remarkable aircraft of World War II – fast, versatile and used in many roles: from reconnaissance, through ground attacks, to night fighters. The FB version of the Mk.VI served as a fighter-bomber strike machine, and the NF Mk.II was one of the early varieties of night fighter, designed to combat airstrikes after dark. Mosquito earned a reputation as an aircraft that, thanks to its performance, was able to “enter and exit” the mission faster than the enemy managed to react.
