Important! Preparation and maintenance of the wok:

Each new wok should be properly prepared (tan) before the first use. This will allow us to avoid sticking fried foods.

1. Wash the wok by hand with a small amount of dishwashing liquid, preferably with a rough dishwasher.
2. Dry thoroughly with a paper towel and heat over medium heat, then rub the entire usable surface with vegetable oil, e.g. rapeseed or peanut. Just 1 tablespoon.
3. Tanning evenly over high heat until the pan begins to darken. During firing, the wok can smoke heavily, so it is very important that the room is well ventilated.
4. When the wok acquires a slightly shiny texture and its surface begins to dry, we set it aside to cool.
5. Grease the cooled wok with a thin protective layer of vegetable oil and store in a dry place.
6. After each use, wash the wok with warm water, taking care not to scrape and scrub the resulting layer (patina). After washing, dry thoroughly with an absorbent cloth or towel and grease to prevent corrosion.

Tip - Always wash the wok by hand, preferably with a special bamboo brush or dishwasher without using detergent. If spots appear, they should be wiped off with a stiff brush, grease the place with vegetable oil and tan spot.

The product is not made of stainless steel. To avoid the risk of rust, you should follow the above-mentioned recommendations during use.
