The history of the Swedish brand Westin dates back to 1952. It was then that Ingvar Westin, the late toy maker, carved a fish for his children that moved in the water like a living creature. He called it “Jatte”, which in Swedish means “giant” – it resembled a pike bait of considerable size. Local anglers quickly saw its potential and began to use the children's toy to catch the largest pikes. They demanded more and more lures from Westin, as well as versions in various shades. Thus, Ingvar launched serial production of wobblers, whose fame went far beyond the native Sweden.
