Green polishing paste BACHER 8000 Very Fine was created for the final stage of care and refinement of the blade after sharpening. It helps to smooth the cutting edge, remove fine micro burrs and give the blade a better glide when cutting.

It’s a good choice when the knife is already sharpened and you want to do the last step — stroping and polishing the edges.

When to choose gradation 8000?

The 8000 Very Fine variant is a finishing paste. It is not used for intensive material collection or repair of damaged edge. Its task is to refine the blade after prior sharpening.

If the knife is already sharp, but you want a smoother, more polished edge – this paste will be the right choice.

What is BACHER 8000 paste used for?

Green paste will work especially for:

• final ceilinging of knives after sharpening,
• smoothing of the cutting edge,
• reduction of fine burrs after sharpening,
• improvement of blade slippage,
• achieving a cleaner, smoother cut,
• care of kitchen, outdoor, hunting and workshop knives.

Why use paste after sharpening?

Sharpening itself gives the knife the right angle and sharpness, but microscopic burrs may remain at the edge. Tuning with polishing paste helps to smooth them and refine the final effect.

Regular use of paste on the ceiling allows you to maintain good condition of the blade longer and improve the comfort of everyday cutting.

How to use?

1 Apply a thin layer of paste to a leather ceiling or polishing belt. Spread evenly over the surface.

2 Move the blade across the ceiling with the back forward — opposite to the cutting direction.

3 Make calm, controlled movements on both sides of the blade.

When finished, wipe the blade with a dry, clean cloth.

Do not press the blade too hard. When ceilinging, light pressure, even angle and repeatability of movements are the most important.
