Working with EZiTEX t100 generator

Connect EZiCAT i550 to EZiTEX t100 signal generator to:

In Geomax EZiCAT 550 has 4 modes, it is different ways of “tracking” wires and installations underground – each works on a different principle and is useful in different conditions on the construction site.

⚡ POWER (50 Hz)

It's a live power cable detection mode.

The device catches the natural electromagnetic field produced by the 50 Hz mains current.

When to use:

• location of power cables
• quick check before digging
• when you don't have a signal transmitter

Important: it only works on the wires through which the current flows.

📡 33 kHz

This is an active location mode — used together with a signal generator (transmitter).

33 kHz is a high frequency that easily “enters” into installations.

When to use:

• Searching for unknown installation routes
• shorter sections
• difficult ground conditions
• non-metallic pipes with probe

Plus: induces easily

Con: signal fades faster and can "escape" to other elements

📡 8 kHz

Also active mode with generator, but with lower frequency. Best for isolating one wire.

When to use:

• long sections of metal cables and pipes
• Precise tracking of a specific installation - for accurate routing
• places with a lot of infrastructure underground
• with approaches to the building

Plus:

• stable, long range
• less “spill” on neighboring media

Con: harder to excite the signal than at 33 kHz

📻 RADIO

Passive mode – detects radio signals present in the environment that “transfer” to metal installations underground.

When to use:

• general land scanning
• Searching for installation without connecting the transmitter
• Preliminary recognition before exact location

Important: less precise than active modes.

How to use it in practice (on construction site)

The simplest work logic:

1 RADIO → fast terrain recognition

2 POWER → checking power cables

3 33 kHz → finding the installation

4 8 kHz → accurate route tracking
