It means that every 12 months or every 600 measurements, the breathalyzer should be reconfigured so that it correctly interprets the indications of the wearing sensor. The necessity of calibration is evidenced by messages and results that are definitely different from reality - e.g. 0,5‰ despite the absence of alcohol consumption.
