GPB 18V-3 SC Professional by BOSCH is a construction stereo radio with a digital FM / DAB+ tuner with a dual power system (network and battery) and Bluetooth communication for connecting an external music source, e.g. phone.

DAB+ is a digital radio technology, and the name stands for Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus. The creation and implementation of this technique was a response to the growing needs and expectations of customers. Thanks to it, it is possible to emit digital sound along with a number of additional functions.

How is DAB different from DAB+?

DAB+ is a modernized and more advanced version of DAB technology. The older version of this standard uses the MPEG-1 codec, while DAB+ is based on the HE-ACC codec (another name is AAC+). Thanks to this, the radio performance is up to three times higher and the sound quality noticeably increases.

Radio is equipped with bluetooth communication that allows you to control and play music using a smartphone.

Housing resistant to mechanical damage, thanks to which the radio retains its efficiency even after falling from a height of 1 meter.

Built-in metal handle (hook) for hanging allows you to hang the radio e.g. on a ladder or scaffolding.

High-quality stereo FM and DAB+ radio with 8 memory places for radio stations (4 for FM and 4 for DAB+), the radio can be powered by 230V mains voltage (via USB-C port), or BOSCH lithium-ion battery with 18V voltage.

RDS enables the transmission of additional digital data such as station name, song title and others. The information is displayed on the display in the bottom line.

The built-in socket for battery power allows you to use the radio without having to connect to the mains power supply 220V / 230V – the radio can be powered only by 18V lithium-ion batteries from the BOSCH Professional line.
