The manual seed drill is designed for individual use when dispensing: granulated horticultural fertilizers with small and medium granulation and other, non-caking dry bulk materials, e.g. spreading seeds (grass), dry sand, anti-slip mixture, salt, etc. The seed drill is not intended for: spreading powders, hot materials, corrosive materials, e.g. burnt lime, causing corrosion, damp materials, crystalline fertilizers or highly hygroscopic agents, plant protection products, fertilizers with very high granulation and for heavy-duty work, e.g. in the provision of horticultural services. In the case of sowing irregular or small seeds, it is necessary to mix the seeds with coarse dry sand to improve the spread.

During operation, the seeder should be guided only in the forward direction. If the fertilizer is jammed, stop pushing and remove the jamming before starting work again. Use only non-caking, sifted fertilizers.
