Here’s how you can create a battery-free light switch using a mini relay with RF433 module and RF433 remote control.

Components of the system

1. Mini relay 16A with RF433 radio module
2. Battery-free RF433 button (e.g. IK02-1G-WH)*
3. Traditional light switch (optional)

Installation process

1. Install a mini relay with RF433 module in the electrical box behind the existing light switch.
2. Connect the power cords and lighting circuit to the relay using lever quick couplers.
3. Pair the RF433 battery-free remote control with the relay module according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Mount the RF433 battery-free remote control in the desired location on the wall.

Principle of operation

The RF433 battery-free remote control uses a piezoelectric phenomenon to generate an energy pulse at the push of a button. This energy is sufficient to send a radio signal to the relay module, which in turn turns the lighting on or off.
