☀ WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN INSTALLING A GARDEN SAIL?

✴ Keep the right angle of inclination

The sail should be mounted with a clear drop, minimum 20 to 25°. Thanks to this, rainwater flows freely over the fabric, and you avoid moisture accumulation and the risk of deformation.

✴ Take care of the diagonal tension of the material

During the installation of the cable or fastening should stretch under the bevel – from corner to corner. Then the force is distributed evenly over the entire surface of the material. Thanks to this:

• The sail is more stable and tighter,
• There is no so-called material. water pockets, i.e. places where water could collect after rain and linger.

✴ Always mount the sail with the right side up

The sail should be hung on the right side up - seams should have been on the bottom. Thanks to this:

• water drainage is more effective – drops run down on the smooth side, and do not stop at the seams,
• The material looks more aesthetically pleasing from the top – the surface is smooth, without visible stitching.

‼ Important – the sail creates a large surface area of resistance for the wind, so it should be dismantled during severe storms and for the winter period to prevent damage.
