Prekė: Skysčio lygio jutiklis su WiFi, RF433, Tuya ekranu ir signalu. Kategorija: Jutikliai.

  • Gamintojas: Sone

The Sone liquid level sensor is a modern device for monitoring the condition of water and other liquids in tanks. The set includes an ultrasonic sensor and a gateway with a built-in display and sound alarm, which communicates with the sensor in RF433 MHz technology (up to 300 m in open space) and with a home Wi-Fi network of 2,4 GHz. This allows you to continuously control the liquid level both locally – on the gateway display – and remotely in the Tuya or Smart Life app.

The sensor and gateway are pre-paired, which means that communication between them works immediately after connecting the power supply. All you need to do is add the gateway to the Tuya/Smart Life app and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network to enjoy the full functionality of the system. The gateway display shows m.in. percentage filling of the tank (0 to 100%), current sensor temperature and connection status. In addition, the user receives push notifications and an audible alarm, which can be easily turned off from the application or with a touch button on the housing.

6. The button allows you to:

  • Turning off the audible alarm – quick mute of the alarm signal
  • Factory reset – holding the button for approx. 5 seconds

Dimensions

The Sone sensor and gate have a compact design, making it easy to fit into various installations and installation locations. The slim housing of the gateway allows for convenient placement near the router or on the wall, and the long sensor cables allow for free installation in the tank.

Sensor

  • Housing: 80 × 80 × 41 mm
  • Sensor cable length: approx. 275 cm
  • Power supply cable length: approx. 90 cm

Goal

  • Housing: 62 × 62 × 20 mm
  • USB-C power cable: approx. 75 cm

Assembly

The sensor is installed in the upper part of the tank, in a pre-prepared hole. At the place of installation, a gasket is placed, which is responsible for tightness and stable embedding of the device. Then the sensor is applied to the hole and fixed with the included screws.

  • Mounting hole diameter: approx. 60 mm
  • The sensor should be mounted perpendicular to the surface of the liquid and in the central part of the tank, away from water inlets or walls – thanks to this the measurement will be the most precise.
  • Structural elements, pipes or floats in the measuring area should be avoided so that they do not interfere with ultrasound operation.

The gateway should be located in a place with good Wi-Fi coverage, at a distance of not more than 300 m from the sensor (in open space). With its compact size, it can be conveniently placed on a shelf or glued to a wall with the included double-sided tape.

  • Power supply via USB-C port (cable included).
  • For proper operation, the gateway must be connected to a 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  • When connected to electricity, the gate automatically receives data from the sensor (devices are factory paired).

Important information during installation

  • The sensor must be mounted perpendicular to the surface of the liquid for measurements to be correct.
  • The best place to install is the central part of the tank, away from water inlets and other components causing interference (so-called. pseudo-echo).
  • Do not mount the sensor too close to the tank walls, pipes, floats or other obstacles – they can reflect ultrasonic waves and falsify the result.
  • The interior of the tank should be smooth, without protruding structural elements in the measuring area.
  • The beam measurement angle is ±15° – there should be no obstacles in this area.
  • Minimum tank dimensions for correct operation: H = 5 m - D > 2,7 m, H = 4 m - D > 2 m, H = 3 m → D > 1,6 m, H = 2 m → D > 1,1 m
  • In the case of mounting on a slightly curved surface, tighten the sensor with screws, but without excessive tensioning of the housing.
  • If unusual or unstable readings appear, it is worth loosening the mounting screws to reduce stress.
  • The gateway should be in a place with a good Wi-Fi signal, within the range of the RF433 sensor (up to 300 m in open space).

Preview and history

The sensor provides constant access to information about the liquid level in the tank in real time. In the application, you can check both the current reading and review the history of measurements in the form of clear charts. Thanks to this, the user has full control over the state of the liquid and can easily analyze changes over a longer period of time.

The application automatically converts the liquid level into a percentage according to the formula:(current level ÷ maximum depth) × 100%

Example: if the maximum depth has been set to 3 m and the current liquid level is 2 m, the system will display a result of 67% (2 ÷ 3 × 100%).

Preview functions available:

  • Presentation of liquid level in percentages and meters
  • Reservoir status: low / normal / high
  • Graphic representation of the water level in the tank
  • History of measurements with the possibility of previewing on a daily, monthly and yearly basis
  • Sensor temperature measurement (from -20°C to +70°C)
  • Supply voltage

Alarms and settings

The sensor allows you to configure the operating parameters so that the system perfectly fits the tank and user needs.

Settings in Tuya / Smart Life app:

  • Maximum liquid level – triggers the tank overflow alarm
  • Minimum liquid level – triggers empty tank alarm
  • Assembly height – distance from the sensor to the bottom of the tank
  • Liquid maximum depth – maximum depth of liquid in the tank
  • Push notifications – information about low and high liquid levels
  • Setting sensor and controller ID

Sound alarm of the gate:

  • The gate has been equipped with an audible signal that informs about exceeding the alarm thresholds
  • Alarm can be easily turned off from the Tuya / Smart Life app
  • In addition, there is a button on the gate housing that allows you to quickly mute the alarm or restore factory settings (hold approx. 5 seconds)

Thanks to these options, the user has full control over the system – from simple monitoring to automatic pump control through scenes in the application.

Notifications – how to enable or disable them?

The sensor sends push notifications with low and high liquid levels by default. However, if the user wants to disable them, you can do so directly in the Tuya/Smart Life app:

  1. Go into the app and open the sensor.
  2. Click the pencil icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Notification Settings.
  4. Go to the Emergency Notifications tab.
  5. In the Mobile notification bar section you can turn on/off: Lower level alarm – low liquid alarm / Full level alarm – tank overflow alarm

Pump control – how does it work?

Automatic control functions

The liquid level sensor has options in the application related to pump operation:

  • Pump mode – allows you to choose whether the pump is to fill the tank - on (on-supply) or empty it - off (off-drainage).
  • Automatic control – when it is active, the application itself manages the pump on and off based on the “min” and “max” thresholds set by the user.
  • Pump switch – allows you to manually turn the pump on and off in the application. However, when automatic control is active, manual activation of the pump will be interrupted if this could result in damage to the device (e.g. when the tank is empty and the pump could run “dry”).

How do I make these functions work?

The sensor itself does not control the pump directly – an additional device is needed, e.g. smart outlet to which the pump is connected. In the Tuya/Smart Life app, create an automation scene:

Pump control – settings in the application

Pump control – main option:

  • Auto – automatic work based on scenes.
  • Manual – manual control in the application.

Pump mode:

  • On – the pump fills the tank.
  • Off – the pump empties the tank.

Pump switch – manual control of pump operation:

  • Turn on (Start) – turns on the pump.
  • Turn off (Stop) – turns off the pump.

For automation to work, it is necessary to create two scenes based on the "Liquid Level Status" depending on the function we want to perform :

  • Pump mode enabled (filling): 1. Lower alarm - turn on the pump 2. Full alarm - turn off the pump.
  • Pump mode disabled (emptying): 1. Full alarm - turn on the pump 2. Lower alarm - turn off the pump.
