A reducer is a device that reduces (lowers) the pressure of gas taken from a cylinder. Each reducer reduces the pressure to a certain level - this value should be the same as on the device's rating plate.

Reducer equipped with safety valve EFV
The EFV safety valve built into the reducer automatically cuts off the gas flow from the reducer in case the gas line is damaged. The small ball included in the valve can cause rattling if shaken by a reducer. This is a normal phenomenon that does not indicate damage to the reducer.
