The sanding attachment for the Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Mk.2 is a modernized version of the Ken Onion Edition electric grinding attachment, which allows you to shape, grind and polish the blade. Fits Ken Onion Edition Mk. 2 electric sharpener.

Generation II grinding attachment Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition was designed to provide the user with easier and more comfortable work.

Changes to Generation I:

• The device is equipped with a sanding belt cover and rubber feet for stability during operation
• Adjustable grinding profile in 3 positions without tools
• Possibility to adjust the angle during operation with an ergonomic knob
• Convenient forward-facing marking of the selected angle
• Grinding plate and 90° pressure plate allow quick sharpening of knife backs or re-profiling of blades without vibration
• Ken Onion Edition Mk.2 Sharpener Mount Requires No Tools
• Easy repositioning of the central transport roller without tools

The attachment features a robust polymer-metal construction, resistant to overloads arising during grinding and modeling of the blade. The attachment connects to the sharpener without the need for tools. Replacement of abrasive belts is also a simple and quick activity that we can do ourselves.

Precise adjustment range in Ken Onion Blade Grinding Attachment

Abrasive belts with a size of 25,4 x 457 mm can be used in the attachment. The belt tension is controlled by a system of 4 rollers, adjustable from 10° to 35° (with an accuracy of 1°).

The belt speed, depending on the type of activity performed, can be set in the range of 1200-2800 SFM (square foot per minute). The position of the central transport roller can be easily changed without the use of tools, which allows you to adjust the tension (height) of the abrasive belt depending on e.g. from the type of knife cut.

The Work Sharp sanding attachment allows for precise execution of both hands and with full visibility of the process, which allows for quick and easy results.

The Blade Grinding Attachment increases the already high functionality of the Ken Onion Edition Mk.2 sharpener, allowing you to additionally grind, change the blade profile and polish, without the need to purchase an additional, expensive device.
