Proper operation of the SSH worm juicer – principles of operation and maintenance
The SSH worm juicer is a powerful device for processing apples, hard vegetables, fruits and berries. In order to ensure safe and effective work, the following rules must be observed.
Preparation for work
Before starting the device, you should:
- carefully change and wash the raw material to avoid foreign bodies getting into the hopper,
- read the instruction manual,
- connect the device to a properly grounded socket,
- check the fuses and make sure that the voltage in the network complies with the requirements.
Start work
- Before the first use, the working elements should be disassembled and washed (there may be factory grease inside).
- Position the device on a stable ground and ensure grounding.
- Adjust the outlet nut of the pomace – first tighten to the resistance, then loosen slightly.
- Serve the raw material gradually, controlling the process – the auger should remain visible to avoid overloading.
Extrusion process
The snail shreds the product and partially gives off the juice, which under pressure is separated from the pulp.
The juice flows into the gutter and the pomace escapes through an adjustable hole.
If the pomace is too moist, it can be passed again.
Tips for working with different products (depending on the model of the SSH juicer)
Apples: The juicer can handle even less juicy or slightly overripe fruits. In this case, the juice may contain foam or pulp, so it is worth setting it aside for a while and filtering it.
Tomatoes: Due to the high juice content, it is sometimes necessary to pass the pulp again or additional processing to get a clear drink.
Grapes: If the pits are large, remove the pulp regulator. Before inserting the fruit, also remove the twigs and stalks so as not to damage the juicer.
Reverse function
The SSH model is equipped with the reverse (reverse) function.
In case of overloading or stopping the screw, simply turn on the reverse to unlock the mechanism and safely continue working or disassemble the cleaning elements.
Cleaning and maintenance
During operation, the device does not require cleaning – the pomace is removed automatically.
After completion of work should:
- Disconnect the device from the network.
- Disassemble the working elements.
- Wash all parts thoroughly.
Particular attention should be paid to the support bearing separating the working chamber from the transmission and the engine – do not allow water to enter the transmission.
Oil in transmission
For proper operation of the transmission, I-20 oil is used (alternatively, 10W40 engine oil can be used).
Before adding new oil:
- drain the old oil through the lower drain valve,
- Pour about 80 ml of fresh oil through the upper infusion hole.
