Universal inverter welding machine PATON™ VDI 200 PRO DC is designed for manual arc welding by MMA method, arc welding in the argon version by TIG method with direct current and semi-automatic welding by MIG/MAG method in the protection of gases and protective mixtures.

The device is set to optimal values for most use cases. Demanding users can choose each of the parameters individually.

The VDI PRO series offers full electronic control, which allows for greater control of the welding process for each of the selected methods, as well as allows maximum use of the potential of the devices. Welding inverters from the PRO series are dedicated for industrial use as well as for the most demanding home users.

The models of the ECO series are characterized by a compact design, which uses a number of innovative solutions to increase the reliability of devices. The use of a proceeding inverter block at frequencies of the order of kHz affects the dimensions of the transformer in the power block, which significantly reduces the weight and dimensions of the device itself.

High quality welds and source safety are ensured by additional functions operating in automatic mode:

• Hot-Start function (hot start) – ensures the highest quality of welding start, first-class ignition – at the moment of arcing, during a short time, the working welding current increases from the set working level to the optimal level. In some cases (when working with a weak network or generator), this level can be set manually if there is a suitable switch (as in the “Professional” series). Lowering the “Hot-Start” to reduce power consumption from a weak grid or increasing it in a strong grid makes it much easier to ignite.
• Arc-Force function (electric arc force) – is used to improve the stability of combustion in the short arc and prevent the electrode from “sticking”. When a drop of metal is separated from the electrode, the current is automatically raised to a certain level if there is a suitable switch (as in the “Professional” series). By lowering the “Electric arc force” to reduce power consumption from a weak grid or increasing it in a strong grid, the stability of arc combustion is even more improved.
• Anti-Stick function (anti-stick) – allows the welder to easily separate the electrode from the product. In the case of a short circuit (if it occurs), after a short break, the welding current is reduced automatically. After separating the electrode from the element, the source automatically restores its operation.
