The PATON™ VDI 200 ECO DC welding machine is an advanced device designed for manual arc welding using the MMA method using direct current. This model has been designed for users looking for efficiency and full nominal power of 200A.

Thanks to this, the device perfectly copes with electrodes with a diameter from Ф1,6 mm to Ф5 mm, and the 40% duty cycle allows the implementation of various tasks, both in the household, as well as in small workshops or car service stations.

HOT START AND OTHER FUNCTIONS

HOT START – “hot start” – consists in temporarily increasing the welding current above the set value at the moment of arcing. This prevents the phenomenon of “sticking the electrode” in the initial phase of welding, making it easier to start the whole process.

Arc-Force function – it is used to improve the stability of combustion in the short arc and prevent the electrode from “sticking”. When a drop of metal separates from the electrode, the current is automatically raised to a given level - if there is a suitable switch (as in the "Professional" series). By lowering the “Electric arc force” to reduce power consumption from a weak grid or increasing it in a strong grid, the stability of arc combustion is even much better improved.

Anti-Stick function – allows the welder to easily subtract the electrode from the product, without the risk of visual paralysis. During a short circuit after a short break, the welding current is automatically reduced. After separating the electrode from the element, the source automatically restores its operation.
