ARC 160 inverter welder for welding with DC electrodes (DC).

It is designed for welding with rutile and alkaline electrodes up to 4 mm of various steel grades (low carbon, low alloy, stainless, etc. ) and cast iron. It is a solid and durable welding current source for professional welders. • IGBT technology - modern technology based on bipolar transistors with an isolated gate. It combines the ease of control of field transistors with high breakdown voltage and switching speed of bipolar transistors. The use of IGBT technology has an impact on a significant extension of reliable operation of welding equipment.
• Overheating protection - the power source is equipped with a thermal, automatic overload switch. When the temperature of the welding machine is too high, the protection will disconnect the welding current and the overheating indicator diode will light up. After the temperature drops, the circuit breaker will automatically reset.
• Work cycle - the work cycle is based on a 10-minute period. The 60% duty cycle means that after 6 minutes of operation of the device, a 4-minute break is required. The 100% duty cycle means that the device can work continuously, without interruptions.
• Hot Start function - the function is popularly called hot start. It works at the moment of arcing, causing a temporary increase in the welding current above the value set by the welder. HOT START is designed to prevent the electrode from sticking to the material and is a great convenience when arcing. In the case of welding small elements, it is recommended to disable this function, as it may cause burning of the welded material
• Arc Force function - It allows regulation of welding arc dynamics. Shortening the arc length is accompanied by an increase in welding current, which stabilizes the arc. Reducing the value gives a soft arc and a smaller depth of melting.
• Anti Stick function - ANTI STICK function is a short-circuit protection, reducing the welding current if the electrode is glued to the welded material. This makes it easier to peel off and protects the device from damage.
• TIG DC LIFT - Welding with tungsten electrode in an inert gas shield using a handle with a gas valve in the handle. The arc is ignited by rubbing, similarly to the MMA method.
• Cooling - The device has a fan cooling system which definitely increases its efficiency.
