The filters of the AMS+ series have external controls to help you adjust the filter settings: switch between operating modes, change to GRIND mode, dimming level correction, enable the AUTO SHADE function and fast saving of settings.

FUNCTION MIX (GRADIENT) - allows you to gradually "quench" the blackout, after finishing work.

FUNCTION OF SAVING PARAMETERS - There are 10 save places available to the user.

The use of a third (yellow) layer of the LCD filter allows you to achieve a maximum blackout of 14 DIN, meeting the highest standards of eye protection. The green coloration of the image, which is a natural spectral effect of this configuration, not only signals more effective radiation filtration, but also promotes the reduction of eye fatigue during long-term welding.

All models of the PRO series have a TEST function. It allows you to verify the correct operation of the filter. Holding down the button (HOLD function: TEST. In addition, after each battery replacement, the filter automatically performs a shortened test.

In all APS PRO filters, it is possible to select the welding/grinding/cutting mode. The choice should be made with the MODE switch.

There are operating modes to choose from: welding WELD 9-13, WELD 9-14 (depending on the model), GRIND grinding, CUT plasma cutting and dark DARK mode. In DARK mode, the darkening degree is set from the full range and remains active until the user switches it.

The visor automatically turns on the blackout when it "detects" a high-brightness source (e.g. welding arc). The value can be high (9 -HIGH) or low (0 - LOW). The standard sensitivity value is ranges close to high (7-9 or diodes at HIGH/MAX). When the operation of the mask is disturbed by excessive ambient lighting or by other welding equipment located nearby, the sensitivity value should then be close to low values (0-4 or diodes at LOW/MIN). The function is set by pressing the SENSI button once, or by using the UP or DOWN buttons.

For the X99CD and 999D models, holding the SENSI key turns on automatic mode, which will select the sensitivity level itself. One-time pressing the button turns off the automatic mode.

The darkening level should be selected accordingly for a specific type of welding or the process associated with it. Accurate Schedules

can be found in the Shade Information Table.

Setting the function is done by pressing the SHADE button once, or using the UP (top) or DOWN (bottom) buttons.

The darkening degree is within the specified range for a given mode of operation. For WELD mode, this is a range of 9-13 (or 9-14). CUT mode

has a range of 4-8, GRIND has an implemented value of 3, and DARK operates in full range for a given visor (depending on the model).

For the X99CD and 999D models, holding down the SHADE key turns on/off the automatic mode, which will select the darkening degree itself.

The adjustment in AUTO mode is every 0.1, ranging from -2.0 to +2.0.

DARK mode is a constant level of blackout, without returning to bright. Full-range adjustment (4-13 or 4-14).

When the welding work is completed, the viewing window automatically changes from dark to back to light, taking into account the previously set delay time. Setting the function is done by pressing the DELAY button once, or using the UP (top) or DOWN (bottom) buttons. The time can be set to “fast” (0/MIN) or “slow” (9/MAX). In addition, below the setting (0/MIN), the TACK will appear. Informs that it is recommended for spot welding/attachment.

For the X99CD and 999D models, holding the DELAY key turns on/off the automatic mode, which will select the delay time itself. The user only sets the deviation of this time, ranging from -9 (0.05s) to +9 (2.00s).

For TIG welding, it is recommended to set “free” (8-9, closer to MAX).

The function allows for "smooth brightening" after the arc goes out. The MIX function (GRADIENT) depends on the time of delay (DELAY). The longer the delay, the longer the brightening takes.

APS visors are equipped with two batteries (CR2032 or CR2450) and a photovoltaic cell (some models). In APS models, it is possible to replace the battery. This should be done when the battery symbol starts flashing.

There are 10 storage spaces available to the user (9+1). To save the settings, hold down the MEMORY button for a few seconds. Then in the upper corner you will see an "M/W" and a flashing position to save. UP/DOWN buttons select one of the places to save and wait a few seconds. The visor will save the settings itself after a short time. Loading is done analogously, only button

MEMORY is pressed once until the inscription “M/R” appears. Additionally, there is a profile "0", which is saved from the external control (read. AMS+). Then "M/W 0" will appear.

To load the “zero” profile, press MEMORY once. When M/W appears and the memory number flashes, hold MEMORY again until M/W 0 appears. Wait a few seconds for the profile to load.

The MEMORY function includes only the 999D and X99CD series models.
