The mesh nebulizer provides support during the treatment of respiratory diseases. Its design allows you to spray the drug solution onto tiny particles, so that the drug penetrates directly into the patient's respiratory tract with each breath.

VITAMMY Mesh 1 is suitable for both children and adults. It is used to treat diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract as directed by your doctor (e.g. acute upper respiratory tract inflammation, acute and chronic tracheitis, bronchitis, swelling and sore throat, etc. ). PARTICLE SIZE AND TREATMENT EFFICIENCY

Nebuliser inhalers spray the drug as an aerosol consisting of microscopic particles. It is their size that determines the effectiveness and efficiency of treatment, because it directly affects in which part of the patient's respiratory tract inhaled molecules are deposited and the absorption of the applied drug takes place.

Particles of the following sizes are assumed to be:

• Above 8 μm they settle in the upper respiratory tract, i.e. in the nostrils, throat and larynx;

• Above 5 μm to 8 μm are deposited in the trachea and large bronchi;

• Above 3 μm to 5 μm are deposited in bronchioles and bronchioles;

• From 0,5 μm to 3 μm they settle in the alveoli.

It should be remembered that the actual impact of particle size on their deposition in the airways depends on many factors, such as e.g. air flow rate, humidity, temperature and physico-chemical properties of the drug itself.

LIMITATIONS OF RETICULAR (MEMBRANE) NEBULIZERS

No mesh (membrane) nebulizer, due to the technical limitations of the design itself and the principles of operation of this type of devices, is able to produce particles so small that they reach the alveoli. Piston (pneumatic) nebulizers should be used for this type of application.

How does the VITAMMY Mesh 1 nebulizer work?

The VITAMMY Mesh 1 mesh nebuliser consists of a drug reservoir and a spray mesh. The mesh is connected with a vibration film and a round piezoelectric element converting mechanical energy into ultrasonic vibrations. The wave of vibrations produced presses on the liquid in the drug reservoir to atomise it through the micro-spray hole on the spray grid. The aerosol mist produced is then transferred from the spray mesh to the mouthpiece or mask.

What’s more, the liquid residue of the drug is only ≤0,3 ml, which means that a very small amount of the drug will not settle on the mask or other parts of the device, and most will go into the patient’s respiratory system.

CORRECT NEBULISATION WITH VITAMMY MESH 1 IN 6 SIMPLE STEPS:

1. Place the medicine in a container, close the lid and mount the medicine container to the body of the device.

2. Attach a mask of the right size or mouthpiece to the device.

3. Turn on the nebulizer – select speed I or II.

4. Apply the device to your face and start inhaling.

5. Disconnect the medicine cup and clean it according to the instruction manual. When the medicine runs out, your VITAMMY Mesh 1 should turn itself off.

YOU ALWAYS KNOW WHAT MODE YOUR DEVICE IS IN

VITAMMY Mesh 1 is equipped with a multi-colored diode indicating the operating status of the device:

•Green indicator pulses quickly ---> the device is on, speed I is selected.

•Green indicator slowly pulsates ---> the device is on, speed II is selected.

•Blue indicator is on ---> charging (the control goes out automatically when the device is fully charged).

•Orange indicator is on ---> the battery is discharged.

•Orange indicator flashes 10 times and the device will turn off ---> no medication.

HOW TO USE THE NEBULIZER CORRECTLY?

VITAMMY Mesh 1 can be used together with nebuliser medicines. Before use, read both the instruction manual of the device itself and the package leaflet that comes with the inhalation preparation and follow the rules contained therein.

The VITAMMY Mesh 1 nebuliser must not use substances that can permanently damage the nebuliser mesh – e.g. Pentamidine drugs and oil medicines, as well as those containing lipids or suspended particles, are not suitable.

Always clean and disinfect and dry the medicine container and nebuliser membrane after use.

Use 75% ethyl alcohol to disinfect the device. After disinfection, thoroughly rinse the elements with boiled or distilled water.

ATTENTION

The durability of the medicine container along with the built-in membrane in all mesh nebulizers is limited! You need to be aware that it should be replaced about every six months (when used 3 times a day, each time 20 minutes). Actual durability also depends on the type of medication used.
