HiLook /Hikvision monitoring systems can be controlled, configured and operated using the intuitive HikConnect/ HiLook App mobile application for smartphones and tablets and the iVMS-4200 program for PC computers. Thanks to this, the user has constant control and supervision over the monitored space from any place on earth with access to the network. The application and program allow you to:

• live image preview
• remote playback of recordings
• creating scenarios and motion detection rules
• control of rotating cameras
• receiving notifications about events within the system

The application uses the P2P cloud to operate, so the system does not need to have forwarded ports on the router.

The NVR-216MH-C/16P HiLook by Hikvision supports Motion Detection 2.0 on all 4 channels, which allows for much more precise detection of events compared to classic motion detection.

This technology uses image analysis algorithms to classify objects, thanks to which the system can distinguish between people and vehicles and filter out many false alarms caused, e.g. by the movement of leaves, changes in lighting or precipitation.

If an event is detected, the recorder can automatically start recording, send a notification to the mobile application or mark the recording in the archive, which significantly facilitates the subsequent search for events.

The HiLook recorder is equipped with PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports that allow direct power to IP cameras using the same network cable that is responsible for image and data transmission. In practice, this means that it is enough to bring one Ethernet cable to each camera, without the need for additional power supplies or conducting a separate electrical installation.

This solution significantly simplifies the installation of the monitoring system, reduces installation time and reduces the number of elements that may fail.

Modern video compression H.265 / H.265+ in the HiLook recorder used in the repost allows you to significantly reduce the amount of data recorded by the monitoring system without compromising image quality. Compared to the older H.264 standard, H.265 technology provides significantly higher compression performance, so recordings take up less space on your hard drive.

In turn, H.265+, the development of this technology used in Hikvision and HiLook devices, further optimizes image recording through intelligent scene analysis and dynamic bitrate management. In practice, this means up to up to 75% less disk space consumption, longer archiving time of recordings and less network load when remotely viewing cameras.
