This type of head must not be sharpened with a high-speed grinder because it can be hardened. We make sharpenings for this purpose with sharpeners intended or whetstone.

TECHNIQUE

• if there is a knot in the wood, try to hit the blade straight into it
• Splitting large logs start from the edge
