Sone Smart One IR WiFi Remote is an intelligent infrared controller that allows you to control IR devices from your phone . The device works with the Tuya Smart and Smart Life applications and connects directly to the 2.4GHz WiFi network – without an additional gateway.

The controller can be used to operate air conditioners, televisions, decoders, projectors and audio equipment, among others. Built-in temperature and humidity measurement allows you to additionally monitor room conditions and create automations and scenes in the application .

The application provides a measurement history with daily, monthly and yearly charts .

The remote control works unidirectionally – it sends IR signals to devices, but does not read their current status.

Dimensions and Placement

The IR remote is housed in a compact casing measuring 63x63x23 mm, making it easy to place on a shelf, desk, or near the IR-controlled devices. Its small size allows it to blend well with other electronics and air conditioning units.

The device requires a constant 5V DC power supply via a micro USB cable. A power cable is included, but an AC power adapter is not.

The remote communicates via 2.4GHz WiFi and does not require an additional hub. For proper operation, the controller should be positioned where its infrared signal can reach the devices it controls. The IR range is up to 10 meters.

Home screen and temperature measurement

The main screen of the application shows the current temperature and humidity in the room. The data is refreshed automatically and can also be used for scene creation and automation in the Tuya Smart ecosystem.

After adding devices to the IR remote control, they appear in the application in the form of a clear list. This allows you to quickly switch between added devices, such as an air conditioner, TV, heating or audio equipment, and control them without the need for several remote controls.

The application also allows you to view the history of temperature and humidity measurements in the form of charts. The data can be displayed divided into:

• day,
• month,
• year.

Temperature and humidity are presented in separate charts, which makes it easier to monitor changes in room conditions.

Export data to Excel file

The application allows you to export the history of temperature and humidity measurements to an Excel file. The function allows you to conveniently analyze saved data outside the application, e.g. on a computer or in a spreadsheet.

Export includes recorded measurements along with date, time, temperature and humidity level. The data is sent to the user's e-mail address in the form of a download.

The function will work, among others, to monitor room conditions, archive measurements or simply analyze temperature and humidity changes over a longer period of time.

Quick device addition – Quick Match

The "Quick Match" feature allows you to quickly add an infrared-controlled device to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. Simply select the device type and its brand from the list available in the app.

During setup, the application automatically tests saved IR codes using basic buttons, e.g. power supply or volume control. At the beginning, only 1 to 3 test buttons are usually displayed, which are used to check the compatibility of the device.

If the device responds correctly, approve the configuration with the "Can Control" button. After completing the process, the application will automatically display the full remote control for the device.

Quick Match is the fastest method of configuration, because the application uses a ready-made base of IR remote controls and does not require manual copying of buttons from the original remote control.

When Quick Match is not working properly

In some cases, automatic search "Quick Match" may not find the right button layout despite the presence of the device in the database.

In this situation, you can switch the application in "Manual Mode" using the option available in the upper right corner of the screen.

Manual mode allows you to select a specific model of the device from the list available in the application and gives access to more functions and buttons than the standard Quick Match.

Thanks to this, it is possible to more accurately adjust the remote control to a specific model of the device.

When Your Device Isn't in the Database – DIY Mode

If the app cannot find your device in its database, you can use the DIY function to create your own IR remote.

In this mode, you create a new remote from scratch and then manually copy signals from your original device remote. The IR controller will save each function individually.

Please note that DIY mode requires manually adding buttons and copying signals one by one, making the setup process more time-consuming than the standard Quick Match.

Creating intelligent scenes and automation

The IR remote control allows you to create scenes and automation in the Tuya Smart and Smart Life app using temperature and humidity measurement.

As a condition “IF” can be used, among others:

• temperature,
• moisture,

IR devices added to the remote control also appear in the list of devices available in the “THEN” section, so that they can perform specific actions after fulfilling the selected condition, e.g. starting the air conditioning after exceeding the set temperature.

It is worth remembering that devices added to the IR remote control can perform actions in scenes, but cannot be an automation trigger. The trigger can only be the parameters of the controller itself, such as temperature or humidity.

Adding the Remote to the App

The remote connects via 2.4GHz WiFi and does not require an additional hub.

• Connect the remote to a 5V power source using the micro USB cable.
• Enable Bluetooth and location services on your phone if the app prompts you to.
• Connect your phone to your home 2.4GHz WiFi network.
• Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
• Select the option to add a new device.
• Ensure the remote is in pairing mode.
• The app should automatically detect the device.
• Select your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password.
• Wait for the device to be added.
• Click "Done" when finished.

Important: the device does not support 5GHz WiFi networks. Your phone should be connected to a 2.4GHz network during setup.
