Starter cables - user manual

• Make sure that the vehicle documentation does not contain contraindications to the use of jumper cables.
• Immobilize vehicles and protect against starting after starting the engine (neutral gear).
• Check that both batteries have the same rated voltage (12V or 24V).
• Turn off all additional devices in both cars that draw electricity (lights, radio, etc. )
• Connect the cable with red-coded terminals, which should be connected to the + (plus) terminals of the batteries, starting with the vehicle in need of assistance.
• Then the cable marked in black should be connected to an efficient (charged) battery with a clamp - (minus) and the second clamp with a metal element under the hood of the car in need of help (engine block, frame, body part).
• Avoid connecting the second terminal directly to the - (minus) battery, as this may cause sparks and fire or explosion hazards.
• When attempting to start a vehicle requiring assistance, the engine speed around 2.000 shall be maintained in the vehicle in order to be operational. The trial time should be 5-15s after which you should wait approx. minutes before the next attempt.
• After 2-3 minutes from starting the engine, disconnect the black and then the red wires (clamps)
