1 Well-matched hardness:

Choosing a mattress for an infant is one of the most important decisions that parents make when arranging the first place for their child to sleep. The key element is hardness – specialists, including physiotherapists, recommend models with a hardness of H2 or H3. It is this surface that best supports the developing spine. It is worth assessing the hardness yourself by putting your hand on the mattress placed in the crib. Too soft models can pose a threat and are inadvisable in the context of SIDS prevention, i.e. sudden cot death syndrome.

2 Mattress construction:

No less important is the design of the mattress and the type of materials used. High-quality foams with appropriate density – a minimum of 25 kg/m³ – ensure durability and stable support.
