When to check the heart rate of an unborn child?

We suggest that pregnant women examine the fetal heart rate:

• within 30 minutes after waking up
• within 60 minutes after a meal
• about 30 minutes before falling asleep

At other times, activities that take place in the mother’s body (such as e.g. digestion of food) require more oxygen, which reduces the supply of oxygen to the fetus.

This can cause an incorrect test result, such as fetal hypoxia.

Monitoring the FHR in the above-mentioned periods gives the best picture of the fetal health.

The correct FHR value is 120-160 beats/min.
