TrueLife NannyCam R6 Dual Smart - baby monitor that gives you more peace of mind at home and away

TrueLife NannyCam R6 Dual Smart is a modern electronic baby monitor with 2K camera, parent unit with a large 5 inch screen and support via mobile application. This allows you to observe your child in two ways: on a separate monitor at home or on your phone when you are further away from the child’s room.

This is a very practical solution for parents who want to have a child under control, but do not want to look into the room every now and then. The camera shows the image in high resolution, also works at night, allows you to talk to the child, detects movement and sound, and thanks to vertical and horizontal rotation can cover most of the room.

The most important thing, however, is that this nanny is not just a “camera to preview”. It’s a set of features that help you notice faster that your baby has moved, woken up, started crying, or that conditions have changed in the room.

⭐ Key features of the product

• Double view Dual Smart - you can view the image on the parent unit or in the mobile application.
• 2K 2304 × 1296 px camera - more detailed image than in simple baby monitors with lower resolution.
• Large LCD screen 5 inches - convenient viewing without reaching for the phone.
• The parent unit works without WiFi - useful at home when you don't want to base everything on the internet.
• The TrueLife Smart application - the ability to view from your phone, also outside the home, when the device is connected to the Internet.
• TrueLife SmartCare® - detects movement, crying and sounds to inform the parent faster that something is happening.
• TrueLife SmartTrack® - the camera automatically rotates behind the movement to keep the child in the frame longer.
• 350° horizontal rotation and 45° vertical rotation - easier viewing of most of the room.
• Automatic night vision up to 10 m - preview of the child also after dark.
• Two-way communication - you can speak to your child through the monitor or app.
• VOX mode - the parent unit screen may remain off until the nanny detects sound.
• Temperature and humidity sensor - helps to control the conditions in the child's room.
• Recording to microSD card up to 128 GB - the ability to save recordings directly on the card.
• 5-layer privacy protection - m.in. AES encryption, HTTPS transmission and multi-factor authentication.
• 3 colorful silicone overlays included - you can match the look of the camera to the room.

✅ Two ways to preview - monitor at home and app on your phone

The biggest advantage of TrueLife NannyCam R6 Dual Smart is that you are not limited to one way of observing your baby.

At home, you can use the parental unit with a 5 inch screen. It’s convenient because you don’t have to unlock your phone, launch apps, or check notifications. You put the monitor next to you and you just see what is happening in the child’s room.

The second option is the TrueLife Smart application. Thanks to it, you can check the image from the camera on your phone. This is useful when you are in another room, in the garden, outside the house or when the other parent also wants to have access to the preview.

Simply put: the monitor works every day at home, and the app gives you more flexibility when you’re not at the parent unit.

✅ 2K camera - why such a resolution in the nanny?

The 2K 2304 × 1296 px resolution means that the image has more detail than in simple lower quality cameras. For parents, this is not an empty parameter. With an electronic nanny, it is important to see not only “something moves”, but also whether the baby sleeps peacefully, whether it has changed position, whether it is covered, or whether everything looks normal in the crib.

In practice, a 2K image helps to get a clearer view of the child's room. This is especially important in the evening, in low light or when the camera is further away from the crib.

Good picture quality just gives you more comfort. No need to guess what you see on the screen.

✅ TrueLife SmartCare® - a nanny who listens and reacts

Parents cannot always look at the screen. Cooking, working, talking, cleaning or a moment of rest are enough to miss the moment when the child wakes up. Therefore, this model uses the TrueLife SmartCare® function.

How does it work? The nanny monitors movement, crying and other sounds in the room. When it detects something important, it can inform the parent through the parental unit or phone.

For the buyer, the most important benefit is simple: you don’t have to stare at the screen all the time. The device helps to draw attention when something is actually happening.

✅ TrueLife SmartTrack® - camera rotates behind the movement

A small child does not always lie quietly in one place. An older toddler can move around the crib, crawl around the room or suddenly find himself outside the frame of an ordinary camera. The TrueLife SmartTrack® function helps to reduce this problem.

The camera detects movement and automatically rotates in its direction. Thanks to this, the child can stay in the frame longer, even if he changes position.

This is especially useful when the camera is not just looking at the crib, but at most of the room. Instead of manually adjusting the setting, the camera can follow what is happening in the room itself.

✅ 350° and 45° rotation - greater room view

The camera can rotate 350° horizontally and 45° vertically. What does this mean in practice? You can preview a much larger part of the room than with a camera permanently positioned in one direction.

This is important because the child’s room cannot always be perfectly positioned under the camera. A cot, changing table, mat, playpen or play area can be located in different parts of the room.

The rotating camera gives you more freedom. It is easier to see what is happening in the room without rearranging the device.

✅ Automatic night vision - preview also after turning off the light

Children usually sleep when the room is dark. An ordinary camera without night mode in such a situation would show little. TrueLife NannyCam R6 Dual Smart automatically switches to night mode when it gets dark.

Thanks to this, you can see the child even after dark, without turning on the light and without the risk of waking the toddler. The manufacturer gives night vision up to 10 meters, which in the home room gives a very practical range of operation.

This is one of the most important functions in an electronic nanny, because a calm night view means less entering the room “just to check”.

✅ Two-way communication - you can speak to your child

The nanny has two-way communication, which means it not only acts as a camera and microphone, but also allows you to talk to the child from the other room.

How does it work? You can hear what is happening with the child, and if necessary, you can speak through the parental unit or application. Sometimes a calm voice of a parent is enough to make the child stop worrying before you enter the room.

This is a practical feature especially in the evening and at night, when you do not always want to turn on the light immediately or approach the crib.

✅ VOX mode - the screen turns on when you need to

VOX mode is a feature that helps save the battery of the parent unit. When the room is quiet, the screen can remain off. When the nanny detects a sound, she responds and informs the parent.

Simply put: the device does not have to constantly shine the screen if the child sleeps peacefully. It works more “wake-up” and activates when sound appears.

For a parent it is a convenience, and for the battery of the parent unit - longer work. The manufacturer provides up to 7 hours of operation with the screen on and up to 20 hours in VOX mode.

✅ Temperature and humidity - better control of room conditions

The nanny has temperature and humidity sensors. This is useful, because the comfort of sleep of the child depends not only on silence, but also on the conditions in the room.

Too warm, too cool or too dry air can affect the well-being of the toddler. Thanks to the temperature and humidity preview, it is easier to see whether the room is worth venting, turning on the humidifier or otherwise dressing the child to sleep.

This is a small feature, but it helps a lot in everyday use.

✅ Privacy and security of connection

With a home camera, privacy is of paramount importance. TrueLife NannyCam R6 Dual Smart uses 5-layer protection, including AES encryption, HTTPS transmission and multi-factor authentication.

What does that mean in human terms? The connection is not treated as a simple, open preview. Data is protected by several layers of security to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

This is especially important if you are using a mobile app and want to have a preview from your phone.

✅ Recording to microSD card

The nanny can save video to the microSD card up to 128 GB. This is useful if you want to go back to the recording later or see what was happening in the room at a specific moment.

Recording takes place directly on the SD card. Thanks to this, you do not have to rely solely on the live preview itself.

The microSD card is not included in the contents of the set, so it should be treated as an additional medium to be purchased separately.

✅ 3 colorful overlays - a look tailored to the room

The package includes 3 colored silicone overlays. You can change the look of the camera and match it to your child’s room or simply choose the color you like best.

It doesn't affect the nanny's performance itself, but it's a nice addition. The camera looks more friendly and less technical, which fits well in a children's room.

✅ Our opinion

TrueLife NannyCam R6 Dual Smart is one of those baby monitors that makes sense if you want more than just a regular preview camera. What we like the most is the combination of parental unit and app. At home, you can use a separate screen, and when you need more freedom, you have a preview on your phone.

A big plus is also SmartTrack®, which is automatic tracking of traffic. With a child who is already fidgeting, crawling or sleeping in different positions, it is very practical. Added to this is 2K image, night vision, VOX, two-way communication and temperature and humidity sensors.

In short: it is a good choice for parents who want to have a calmer head and do not want to buy the simplest nanny, which shows only the basic picture.
