Revolution in planting aquatic plants – stable mineral substrate without algae and rot!

Traditional garden soil or untested organic substrates inserted into the water quickly begin to rot, creating dangerous anaerobic zones (hydrogen sulfide) and releasing a mass of phosphates, leading to an immediate plague of algae. Söll WasserpflanzenSubstrat is a 100% natural, purely mineral substrate with a fine muddy consistency and a unique, highly porous structure.

It consists of lava, granulated clay and limestone to facilitate rooting of plants. Valuable minerals and trace elements contained in the substrate are gradually delivered to the roots and ensure healthy plant growth and intense colors.

Designed for deposition of swamp plants, underwater plants and water lilies or into the regeneration zone.

The substrate is free from organic substances, so it does not affect the growth of algae, does not float and, unlike peat, does not have a negative effect on the pH of water.

• Works like an intelligent storage unit (Buffer): The substrate has the ability to absorb (bind) excess nutrients from water. It gives them to plants gradually and exclusively through the root system – thanks to this, algae floating in water do not have access to them.

Purpose: For planting baskets, swamp zones, as well as for direct pouring to the bottom of ponds and ponds (especially recommended for water lilies and deep-rooted plants).

Optimal application time

Dosage

• Required substrate thickness for aquatic plants: 5-15 cm. It is advisable to plant plants before flooding the tank with water.
